Dr. Gabriel Overholtzer brings a rare combination of advanced clinical training, whole-body perspective, and genuine patient partnership to every visit.

A Central Valley native, Dr. Overholtzer graduated with honors in Chemistry from California State University, Fresno, before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Loma Linda University. Believing that exceptional dentistry demands lifelong learning, he completed multiple distinguished post-graduate residencies totaling well over a decade of advanced study, including:

- Four years – Orthognathic Bioesthetic Institute (OBI Foundation)

- Eight years – Center for Professional Development (now serving as Partner & Mentor)

- Two years – Tufts University Adult & Pediatric Dental Sleep Medicine

- University of Kentucky TMD & Orofacial Pain Residency

- Misch International Implant Institute – Surgical and Prosthetic Training

Dr. Overholtzer’s philosophy of care was forged through his own family’s health journey and rests on the understanding that the human body is a closed, interconnected system. Oral health cannot be separated from airway, hormones, genetics, microbiome, or neurologic function. He is committed to moving beyond “low-hanging fruit” and the middle of the bell curve to deliver truly individualized, lifelong solutions.

Patients experience a peer-to-peer relationship built on mutual respect, exceptional communication, and one-to-one attention. Whether the goal is reversing periodontal disease, optimizing airway and facial development, stabilizing complex occlusion, or preserving natural teeth for a lifetime, Dr. Overholtzer and his team serve as coaches and collaborators every step of the way.

Current research interests include optimal hormone management in menopause/andropause, oral-gut-neurologic microbiome interactions, airway-centered growth and development, and neural drive optimization for health and performance.

Outside the office, Dr. Overholtzer is a devoted husband and father whose hobbies revolve around family, nutrition, BBQ, powerlifting, and strongman training.

He feels privileged to carry forward a legacy of excellence while guiding the practice into its next chapter of whole-person, biologically grounded dentistry.
